1. Introduction

Welcome to FrixTalk ("we," "our," "us," or "Company"). FrixTalk is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our platform. This Privacy Policy explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about how your information is collected and used.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when using FrixTalk:

  • Confessions & Messages: Any content you share in confessions, chats, or community submissions
  • Session Information: Your nickname, PIN, and session code for authentication
  • Profile Data: Any profile information you choose to provide
  • Usage Data: Information about your interactions with our platform (messages sent, times accessed, features used)
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and browser information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve FrixTalk
  • Authenticate and manage your session
  • Display your confessions and community posts (with your consent)
  • Provide AI support and moderator responses
  • Monitor and prevent abuse or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Send you service-related announcements
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform

4. Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure authentication, and secure data storage. Your PIN is hashed and never stored in plain text. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Anonymity & Privacy

FrixTalk is designed to protect your privacy:

  • All confessions are anonymous by default
  • Your nickname is for session management only and is not publicly displayed
  • You control whether your content is shared to the community
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties
  • Your confessions and messages are stored securely

6. Community Sharing & Moderation

When you enable the "Share to Community" toggle, your confession is submitted for review. Our moderation team may approve, reject, or edit your submission before it appears on the Community Feed. This is to ensure all community content is appropriate and respectful. You can disable community sharing at any time.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to maintain your session information (session code, nickname) so you can return to your active session. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can clear your local storage to log out of your session at any time.

8. Third-Party Services

FrixTalk uses Supabase for data storage and management. Supabase is subject to their own privacy policies. We also use AI services for providing responses. These services process your data as necessary to provide the platform functionality. We do not share your personal information with other third parties without your consent.

9. Data Retention

We retain your confessions and messages for as long as you maintain an active session. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Archived or deleted content may be retained in our backups for a limited period for recovery purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

FrixTalk is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the child's account.
